  Contributor Biography:  Everett K. Rowson 
 
Everett K. Rowson is Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Co-editor of Homoeroticism in Classical Arabic Literature, he has published several essays on homosexuality in medieval Arabic literature and society, and is currently engaged in a study of homosexuality in Islamic law.
