  Contributor Biography:  Sherron E. Knopp 
 
Sherron E. Knopp is Professor of English at Williams College. Her primary focus for teaching and research is medieval and Renaissance literature, but her 1988 essay on Virginia Woolf's Orlando won the Crompton-Noll Award of the Gay and Lesbian Caucus of the Modern Language Association.
