Michael Brown is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of
Washington, Seattle. He is the author of RePlacing Citizenship: AIDS
Activism and Radical Democracy and Closet Space: Geographies of Metaphor
from the Body to the Globe. He is also editor of Social and Cultural Geography.
