I just want to suggest some transgendered films. The crying game is of course a classic. And the danish film A Soap. Boys dob't cry. Rocky Horor Show (I guess it is not really transgendered, and it is not very good, but anyway). And the best is Ma Vie en Rose (French and very beautiful).

I watched 'Paris Is Burning' and the documentary 'Transgeneration' on LOGOTV. Paris was interesting and brought a new perspective on the role of people of color in the trans community. They created their own space and flourished.

'Transgeneration' was good in that it showed what affect these young people transitioning has on their families. There's also so some cultural differences with two of them.

Another documentary I recommend is Cruel and Unusual .
