Hi, My name is Katherine. I am 16 years of age, and the secretery of my schools' GSA.
Today i went to an open youth forum to talk to the governor of MA.
When i brought my topic of LGBTQ knowledge and community to the conversation, he addressed it as any other topic brought to him. This made the conversation comfortable right from the start. I brought up the idea of introducing the LGBTQ community and the knowledge about it into the "family life program" at schools. When he heard my idea of informing people of alternative lifestyles at a middle school level, he seemed interested. He talked about how he would try to raise funding for the promotion of this knowledge and introduce my idea, I dont know my darlings, but lets see if the government makes good on its word. :)

Hi Candy. I admire your interest in LGBT rights and your willingness to educate others. We need more young people like yourself to become involve with these issues. I am a 59 year old transgender and I encourage you to press forward.
