Hi, I am a high school student at Hollywood high school which is located at Hollywood. I am trying to do my senior project for my english class and my topic is going to be about trannies from Iran. This is my current thesis statement: After Sodomy laws in Iran where created, the number of transgender people has dramaticly increase in Iran. I believed so because I heard and kind of read that now trannies from Iran, are rising in numbers. I belived that this is happening as a result that they can't be gay since in Iran they will get prosecuted for being gay.Therfore instead, they conclude that maybe they are not homosexuals but instead transsexuals. Anyways, what I want from someone who is reading this, is for the to recomend me to go to a wedsite or give me names for orgainizations that could give me more info. about this topic if you don't mind. Something like a data base where they have all the records for all transsexual operations in Iran would be nice. First of all I have to commend you on such an ambitious and important topic. Actually I'm jealous, I wish my english class had such a fabulous senior project [but no.... we have an autobiography and my classmates are gushing about the first time they were allowed to "help" on the farm----yuck, I tell you there is homo blood in thier fields!] anyways enough of my bitterness.
I can suggest iraqibodycount.com and biggaynews.com as a place for some research. Other than that perhaps some cultural/historical background on the anti-gay laws and various hate-crimes. Personally I would add the factiod that there was nothing queer about Sodom. good luck
