The California ruling on outlawing the ban on same-sex marriage affects transgender people, also. It demonstrates that we trans folks can and need to increase our efforts toward equality. T forces that will come against this ruling will surely come against trans people.
Gays and lesbians won this with organization, hard work and persistence. They also made their presence felt and seen. THIS is what we trans folks need more of-making our presence felt and SEEN. I'm positive that we can achieve our goals. I'm willing to step forward and support our efforts and to be seen by the folks that we will have to deal with.
Iam encouraged by the ruling and pray that transgender folks can achieve the same.
