As I reflect on World AIDS Day, I am reminded that transgender people are affected by HIV/AIDS more so than the general population. There's still so much stigma and misinformation regarding AIDS. Many people in high places would rather see this issue swept under the rug. I don't ever see that happening because AIDS affects EVERYBODY.
So many many people who have lost friends/lovers/family to the disease are still hurting after many years. Many gifted and talented men and women have bee lost in the primes of their lives. We can not be silent about this issue.
