It was great to see all the reportage of the gay and lesbian weddings in New York on Sunday. The New York Times did a great job of covering the event, with lots of pictures and slide shows of happy couples, some of whom have been waiting decades to get married. Congratulations to the newly weds!

A friend sent me this link to a photo gallery. It's a lovely collection of special moments from the historic day.
I was pleased to see #12, of Phyllis Siegel, 77, and Connie Kopelov, 85, who are one of the couples who waited decades before they could marry. There are lots of great pictures (although only 59, rather than the promised 60), but among those that particularly caught my eye were #16 and #59 for their sweetness and #51 for the combination of the happy couple and the smiling security guard.
