The September 15 Newsletter, spotlighting TV, contains an error:
"Frank Kameny (b. 1925), a founding father of the gay rights movement, was one of several gay activists interviewed by Mike Wallace in a pathbreaking 1967 edition of "CBS Reports." "
Frank Kameny was not interviewed for this program, although he does appear in a news-clip speaking to a reporter during a demonstration outside the State Department in Washington. His DC activist colleague Jack Nichols -- called in this case Warren Adkins [his nom de guerre] -- is interviewed by Wallace - one of the two unapologetic gay men who speak to Wallace, along with the notorious "sick gay" men [one positioned behind a potted plant].
