I got this on a list that I'm on... I'm sending out to as many groups as I can. Wouldn't it be great to have a showing at the Oscars...
Forwarded......
My friend Kyle and I were talking about how seemingly stupid it was
to announce a plan to back a Constitutional Amendment to Ban Gay
Marriages right before one of the largest, worldwide, LIVE Events:
The Academy Awards. Let's hope the comments made during the Live
Broadcast make the glimpse of Janet's left breast during the
Superbowl seem like small potatoes (pun intended).
We also talked about what people who wouldn't be on stage could do
to show their solidarity against the Ban and its blatant
discrimination against Gays and Lesbians. There is one symbol I
have long thought truly unites our struggle against discrimination,
the Pink Triangle. During the Holocaust, Hitler made Jews wear
Yellow Stars and those thought to be Homosexuals wear Pink
Triangles. So what could be better to show our disgust with Bush's
modern day version of discrimination by uniting under the Pink
Triangle?
Wouldn't it be amazing to see Billy Crystal and the Kodak Theatre
full of Actors, Producers, Directors, Writers, Costume Designers,
etc., wearing Pink Triangles? Wouldn't it be great to hear Joan
Rivers, Access Hollywood, ET, Extra, etc. ask, "So why are you
wearing a Pink Triangle", OVER and OVER and OVER as they walk down
the Red Carpet? |
