No. Not all born-again Christians are right-wing fanatics, and not all right-wing fanatics are born-again Christians. One can find many examples of born-again Christians who are devoted to actually living the kind of life Jesus Christ is said to have lived: one devoted to loving their neighbors and caring about the poor and misfortunate and increasing the store of kindness in the world.
That being said, however, it is important to realize that a lot of Christians live lives that are utterly contrary to the tenets Christ espoused. And, in fact, a lot of fundamentalist (a subset of born-againers) Christians are right-wing fanatics. They are as dangerous as the Islamic fundamentalists or any other group that is impervious to rationality and who believe that they have all the answers and no one else has any.
Unfortunately, they possess a lot of power in the United States, and they have used that power to hurt glbtq people.
