I've been reading a lot lately on the history of the Gay Pride Flag. The fact that it began as an 8-striped flag then morphed into the 6 stripes that we have today. I have a question for the Graphic Designers/Artist/Flagmakers in the group. When it comes to the 6 stripes in the Pride Flag, are there "official" stripe colors? Are there RGB, CYMK or PMS colors that are seen as the accepted colors? Or are there so many variations that interpretation is in the eye of the beholder?

Thanks so much for the information.

Steven,
I don't think the shades of the colors matter nearly as much as the simple display of the flag.
I've been thinking a lot about whether the technique matters at all. Or is it just the message of the artist?
