My first post, and I find myself slightly embarrassed to be suggesting an definition amendment to such learned folks.
Doing a little research after a discussion, and googled my way here.
The glbtq definition of ephebophilia seems at odds with the most common opinion that it relates to both sexes rather than one. An adult's desire to have a sexual relationship with an individual who has reached puberty, but not the age of legal consent.
I found ephebophilia mentioned under 'lolita complex' and 'lolicon', a Japanese term apparently used to describe not only someone with a desire for girls under the age of consent, but also the object of that desire.
Also, a great disparity in age of the individuals, is not necessarily a function of the word, but is perhaps included in the definition due to the perceptions of the translator. ;-)

Thanks for the posting.

The term ephebophilia was coined to refer to males, using Latin masculine forms. Ephebe (Latin, from the Greek ephebos) is a male youth. However, if it has been used more broadly, perhaps our definition should reflect that broader application.
