| I'm looking for a book to do a paper on in a college English class. I'm bisexual and finally out of the closet to my parents (friends came long ago) and I'm celebrating in a way through my novel choice. I have not been able to expose myself much to lesbian romance and so had the idea of that, as long as it is college level and appropriate enough to discuss. I had heard of the book When I Knew but know little about it. Any and all ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. |

I have not read this book but did find some information about it. It does not appear to be what you are looking for since it is not a novel, but rather a collection of stories about when gay men and lesbians recognized their sexual orientation.
You can find a review of *When I Knew* by Mike Goodridge in *The Advocate* 939 (May 24, 2005): 80 and an anonymous review in *Publishers Weekly* 252.19 (May 9, 2005): 60.
