| Does anyone have any idea as to the identity of the man who threw the pie in Anita Bryant's face in 1977? I think this person and their story should be preserved, but searching the internet I can only find the video and that he described himself as a homosexual. There were three others with him that day in the video. This was a courageous act, as a 13 year old I was amazed to see bentfolk go on the offensive. |

According to the *New York Times* of October 15, 1977, the man's name was Tom Higgins.
