A new play "COURTING MAE WEST: Sex, Censorship and Secrets" - - - - based on true events during the Prohibition Era when Mae West [1893 - 1980] was arrested and jailed for staging two gay plays on Broadway - - - - will be presented in July 2008 by the Annual Fresh Fruit Festival in New York City.
"COURTING MAE WEST" will be shown at the Algonquin Theatre, 123 East 24th Street, NYC on FOUR dates in mid-July: July 16th - July 17th - July 18th - July 19th, 2008.
Director Louis Lopardi is casting the play currently.
