I need some help just understanding something. No judging, no venom, just understanding. It's about the lisping that some men do either occasionally or constantly.

Why do most gay men believe the lisping comes from? And/or why? I don't think the 'trying to take on a female role' explanation makes enough sense.

But additionally, is it the experience of most men that those men who lisp are typically or always 'bottoms' (trying to get the language right)? Are they usually the partner who does the catching and not the pitching? Not trying to get graphic but i don't know how to best describe the roles in a way which is correct.

Help me out here. Thanks.

Read the articles on Sissies and on Gayspeak in the encyclopedia. They may help.
