Hello Brothers and Sisters,
I used to live in New Orleans back in the 70' and first noticed the art of George Dureau when the bar/disco PARADE opened. His depictions of that incredible Bacchanal feast have always stuck in my mind. Naturally, being a gay male I was drawn to his homoerotic satyrs and other frisky furry fellows. I was wondering, since I live in San Diego now, does anyone know how I might go about getting a watercolor, painting or print of one of his pieces? I imagine he is quite well known now and probably still living in the Crescent City. Thank you. Jay[color=blue]

George Dureau is represented by the Arthur Roger Gallery, 432 Julia Street, New Orleans, LA 70130. The telephone number there is 504-522-1999. You could probably contact him directly via telephone if he is listed in the New Orleans telephone directory.

Thanks but I tried the Arthur Roger Gallery and they do not have any colored art available. Ironically, I knew Arthur way back when when I lived in the French Quarter and we used to hang around together.
