Tyler, the gsanetwork has a lot of information about starting a GSA. See the section called "Resources" on their website, which includes info on how to build a gsa: www.gsanetwork.org
There is an interview with the executive director of gsanetwork in the special features section here: http://www.glbtq.com/sfeatures/gsainterview.html
Hope these resources help. Please keep us posted if you should decide to get a gsa started at your school. Good luck! |

PS: I notice that there is a GLSEN chapter in Portland, Maine. They may also be able to help. Here is a link to their website:

Hi, Williams.
Is there a teacher or administrator at your school who has been particularly supportive and might serve as the sponsor of your GSA? Such a person could be very helpful in the process of organizing your group. _________________ Linda |
