The term ephebophilia refers to age-asymetrical homosexuality, in which an adult male is attracted to an adolescent male. The term, which derives from the Greek words for youth (ephebe) and love (philia) is often used as a synonym for pederasty and is distinguished from both pedophilia (attraction to a pre-pubertal child) and androphilia (attraction to an adult male).
