Christopher Isherwood

Writer Christopher Isherwood's (1904-1986) works are infused with a homosexual sensibility. His early novels stressed the commonalities shared between his gay and straight characters, while later novels were more sharply focused on homosexuals as a minority and as victims of homophobia.
