William Dorr Legg
(1904-1994)

W. Dorr Legg was a pioneer in the American gay rights movement and in glbtq studies, and helped found one of the world's largest queer archives. Working on behalf of ONE magazine, which he edited, Legg won a landmark 1958 Supreme Court decision that established the right to send homosexual content through the U.S. mail.
