Felice Picano
(b. 1944)

Felice Picano was the most prominent member of the Violet Quill, a circle of gay writers who met a few times in 1980 and 1981 that helped create the post-Stonewall renaissance in gay male American writing. In addition to his career as a prolific writer, he founded SeaHorse Press, New York City's first gay publishing house.
