Forman Brown


Playwright Forman Brown (1900-1996) was one of the first Americans to publish a novel that portrayed homosexual relationships positively. Better Angel, which appeared under the pseudonym Richard Meeker in 1933, included many passages designed to hearten an assumed audience of homosexual readers.
