Charles Henri Ford
(1910?-2002)

Charles Henri Ford and his lover, Parker Tyler (1904-1974), co-wrote The Young and the Evil (1933), one of the first novels to present New York City's homosexual subculture. The book vividly describes scenes in Greenwich Village gay bars and at a Harlem drag ball, but it has been criticized for endorsing a depressing picture of male homosexuality.
