G.B. Jones is a Toronto-based artist, musician, filmmaker, and zine publisher who emerged from the Punk Rock scene in the 1980s.
In her drawings, Jones appropriates the gay male artistic style of Tom of Finland to create subversive images of women that challenge authority of all kinds. Like many of her works, the image from the "Tattoo Girls" series featured here was first published in a zine ("J.D.s" zine, Issue #2).
