Maria Tsaguriya

The idea for this soft sculpture began from sketches that evolved from questioning male obsessions with women's breasts. The resulting work plays with the tension and cultural confusion surrounding sexualized perceptions of "boobs" and children's awe at the bosom as a source of nourishment and comfort.

  Maria Tsaguriya (b. 1986) employs organic forms and playful imagery in paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
