Gaye Chan (b. 1957) captures aspects of lesbian experience and intimacy in these black and white photographs from her series "Angel on Folding Chair."
Chan, who earned an M.F.A. in photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, chairs the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and serves as Art Director of TinFish, a journal of experimental poetry of the Pacific and Pacific Rim.
